Mah-Jong

Chinese game originally called Pinyin (Sparrow) because the sound the cards made when shuffled was similar to the one made by sparrows. The game was created during the Qing dynasty and in the beginning was played with regular cards, which gave way to tiles in the mid-19th century. Only in the 20th century it became known around the world.

The tiles used in the creation of this jewelry collection in white and yellow 18K gold were made of mother-of-pearl between the 19th and the 20th century.
